Science - House of the spider
The female spider is the one who spawns the web and builds her house. The male spiders have the responsibility of mating the female. After the mating, the male spider tries quickly to escape. Otherwise, he will be trapped by the web and will be eaten by the female who is bigger in size. Generally, an animal's nest (homes) is a place where it keeps the occupants safe from the weather elements and predators. That is not true about the spider's house. Spider's house is an insecure and flimsy place where it is used for hunting.
Qur'an - House of the spider
In Arabic, the words are either feminine or masculine. Allah chooses the feminine word for the spider. The first piece of information that Qur'an is giving us is that the "female" spider builds the house! This is in full agreement with the science. Next, the spider's house is described as flimsy, frail, weak, insecure, and unsafe.
مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ كَمَثَلِ ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ ٱتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ ٱلْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ
The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds (to herself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew. 29:41
